Setting up this site

This is a scratchpad for everything I'm building: HTML/JS experiments, Python projects, and the occasional long-form piece.

How it's structured

The whole site is one small Flask app:

  • Static projects — drop a folder in projects/<name>/ with an index.html and a manifest.yaml, restart the service, done.
  • Live Python projects — a manifest.yaml with type: wsgi mounts a real Python WSGI app at /p/<name>/ inside the main process.
  • Blog — markdown files in content/posts/ with YAML frontmatter (title, date, tags, and draft: true to keep one out of the index).

Why this shape

I wanted one place where things can just exist — interactive pages, running services, live logs — without each experiment needing its own port, its own deploy, its own little website. One process, one reverse proxy route, one systemctl --user restart portfolio.
